I read this then went out and did some 800m intervals – I programmed 5 intervals into the treadmill but also prebaked my excuses about quitting after 4 if I wanted to. Well, got to the end of the 4th feeling very ready to stop, asked myself if I wanted to do that 100 times, and so almost inevitably got the last interval done. Now I’m really tired but also slightly worried about how psycho this might make me!
